Latest Updates from Our Project:

Packaging Art + Factory Updates!
4 days ago – Mon, Sep 28, 2026 at 01:37:16 PM

Hey Backers!

Today we're beyond thrilled to finally reveal the hero artwork for Series 1 of Cryptoids: War for the Green Planet!

We handed this one to the incredibly talented Aaron Conley, and he absolutely blew us away. From the first sketches to the final colors, Aaron captured everything we dreamed Cryptoids could be: the energy, the personality, and the all-out chaos of the War for the Green Planet.

This piece will be the centerpiece of our packaging, featured prominently across the Series 1 designs. When your Cryptoids arrive, this is the art that will greet you right on the box.

We can't thank Aaron enough for bringing such passion and skill to the project, and we can't thank you enough for helping make it all possible. None of this happens without our backers.

Production Update

We are officially in our tooling phase and are eaglery awaiting the next update from the factory! In the coming weeks we will be able to share progress photos and updates from all of the steel molds being used to create our first test-shot factory prototypes!

We are still on-track to go into full manufacturing production in November/December, and are aiming to have Cryptoids on the water (industry speak for out of the factory and into the shipping containers) and on their way to our homebase in Atlanta, GA! You're all going to have your hands on Cryptoids Series One before you know it!

Thanks as always,

Team Cryptoids

Update Title: CCRYPTOIDS Production Update — Tooling Underway, Detailed Timeline to March 2027 Shipping
about 1 month ago – Wed, Aug 19, 2026 at 10:19:37 PM

Hey everyone,

We wanted to clarify any lingering confusion from our last post, and give an even more detailed timeline update!

As we've said throughout this campaign, our target delivery window has always been 2027, with the first wave of shipments planned for March 2027. We know the Backer Report currently shows 0% shipped, that's expected at this stage, not a sign of stalled progress. Here's exactly where we are and what's ahead.

Where we are right now (August 2026):

  • Sculpts have been approved for tooling
  • We've received 2D/hand-approved prototypes from our factory in China
  • We are cutting steel for production tooling in the coming weeks

What's ahead - our timeline to March 2027:

  • Steel tooling cut, Aug–Sep 2026
  • First shots (unpainted test pulls from tooling)Oct–Nov 2026
  • Sample review & revisions (as needed) Nov–Dec 2026
  • Paint/color approval on final samples Dec 2026
  • Mass production begins December 2026
  • Jan 2027 QC inspection & packaging
  • Feb 2027 Freight, customs, and fulfillment prep

Feb–Mar 2027

Shipping begins March 2027

This is the standard toy/collectible manufacturing pipeline, and we're currently on track within it. Tooling and first-shot samples are the biggest risk points for delay and if anything shifts, we'll update you here immediately rather than let the Backer Report go stale.

When your reward ships: once it arrives, please mark it as "Got It" in your Backer Report. This helps us  and Kickstarter  keep an accurate picture of fulfillment status, and it helps other backers gauge real-world delivery timing.

We know waiting is hard, especially with a long timeline like this one. Thank you for sticking with us, we're heads-down making sure these figures are the most amazing debut figures of all time!

More updates as we hit each milestone.

CRYPTOIDS Update: Production Status, Outstanding Rewards, and Timeline to Delivery

Hey everyone!

We are so ex ited to let everybody know that we are ON TRACK to deliver Cryptoids in early 2027! We want to give you a clear, honest picture of where things stand right now, what's still outstanding, and exactly what our plan is to get your rewards to you.

Where We Are Right Now

We are moving into full production. The design and approval work is done, and we're now executing the manufacturing plan with our factory partner. We are on track to deliver rewards in Q1 2027.

What's Still Outstanding?

At this stage, all backer rewards tied to physical production are still outstanding, nothing has shipped yet. No backers have received their final rewards. But you knew that!

Our Plan and Timeline to Fulfillment

Here is the concrete, month-by-month plan we're executing with our manufacturing partner:

  • August 2026 — Final printed prototype approvals
  • September 2026 — Factory begins mold production
  • October–November 2026 — Factory prototype approvals and packaging samples reviewed and signed off
  • December 2026 — Production run finalized
  • January–February 2027 — Shipping begins to the US from the factory

We'll post an update at the close of each of these stages so you can track progress in real time rather than waiting for a single big update at the end. If anything shifts earlier or later than planned, we'll flag it here immediately rather than let it go unspoken.

Questions or Concerns?

If you have questions about your specific pledge or reward tier, drop a comment below or reach out through Kickstarter messages, and we'll get back to you. Thank you for your patience and continued support, we're committed to getting CRYPTOIDS into your hands as fast as possible, and we think you will be blown away!

Thanks,

Team Cryptoids!

Cryptoids August 2026 Production Update!
about 2 months ago – Tue, Aug 04, 2026 at 09:06:16 AM

Hey Cryptoids backers!

We've got a production update for you, and it's all about quality! The back-and-forth we've been having with our factory in China to make sure these figures come out exactly the way they should has been producting and dare we say, FUN! Our team across the sea is incredible and has played a very important role in identifying any and all possible ways to improve the design and quality of Cryptoids Series One!

Where things stand

Over the past few weeks, we've gone through several rounds of revisions with the factory. Rather than rushing early samples into full production, we've been sending back detailed notes after every test print, flagging anything from soft details on the sculpts to fit issues on the articulation points, and waiting for corrected samples before signing off.

It's added some time to the process, but the goal has always been the same: we don't want to ship figures that feel like a downgrade from what we promised you in the campaign. A few of you specifically called out sculpt sharpness and joint durability in your comments, and that feedback directly shaped this round of revisions.

What's improved in this round

  • Sharper sculpt detail — surface texturing and smaller design elements are coming through much more clearly than in the first-round samples.
  • Tighter articulation — joints have been reworked for a better balance of poseability and stability, so the figures hold poses without feeling loose over time.

What's next

We're reviewing the latest batch of samples now and have sent over another round of notes. Once we're fully satisfied with quality, we'll move into approving for mass production and will share that milestone with you immediately.

We know waiting on updates like this isn't the most exciting part of backing a project, but we'd rather take the extra time now than cut corners and disappoint you later. Thanks for sticking with us and we will have more updates (and photos) soon.

As always, drop your questions in the comments and we'll do our best to answer them in the next update.

Cryptoids Production Update: Engineering & Sculpt Refinements - July 2026

Cryptoids Production Update: Engineering & Sculpt Refinements

Hey Cryptoids backers!

We know you've been eager for a look behind the curtain, so this update is all about the engineering work happening on the production side. Over the past few weeks, our team has been working closely with our production partners to push the sculpts further, refining mobility, articulation, and overall design fidelity so that every figure feels as good in your hands as it looks on the shelf.

Dialing In Full Mobility & Articulation

Getting a figure to look dynamic in a package photo is one thing. Getting it to actually hold a pose, move naturally through a full range of motion is a different challenge. That's where most of our engineering time has gone this cycle.

We've been going sculpt by sculpt with the factory and production team, leaning on their decades of experience to make modifications based on recommendations.

Shared Joint Architecture: Aliens x Batboy

One of the bigger engineering wins this update is on the Alien sculpts. Our team reworked the joint architecture so the Alien joints can now be shared with Batboy. This isn't just a cost-efficiency move (though it is that too), standardizing joint components across figures means tighter tolerances, more consistent articulation, and fewer points of failure across the line. When a joint design is proven across multiple figures, it gets stronger with every iteration.

Spacing Fixes: Bigfoot & Yeti

Our big guys needed some extra attention. We identified spacing issues on the biceps, legs, and crotch area of both Bigfoot and Yeti that were affecting the look of the figure, plus fit and range of motion. The production team has since made corrections to those spacing tolerances, which should translate to smoother articulation and better overall proportions once these updates are reflected in the next round of prototypes.

What's Next

We'll continue working through the remaining sculpts with the same level of scrutiny, and we'll share updated prototype photos as soon as these engineering changes are reflected in physical samples. Thanks for your patience and support as we get these details right, we want every figure in this line to hold up to the kind of play (and display) you all clearly have planned for them.

More updates coming soon. As always, thank you for backing Cryptoids!

Adjusted size of beads on Yeti up just a bit, to ensure no issues in molds.

Smoothed out inner edges of joints where applicable, and made joint wheel more flush to body pieces.

Improved gap on Biceps.

Before - We felt the crotch piece was a little to thin, showing too much of the barbell joint.

After, increased size of crotch.

Modified internals so that Aliens and Bat Boy could share joints.
